    @Joshua41, nee ik neem nog geen winst. Ik wacht tot de uitspraak van de rechter, kijken of dat de waarde nog doet pompen. Anders cash ik een groot deel en zet ik het op een andere munt.
    Een klein deel laat ik dan op XRP staan.

    @Newbie: is ook een strategie. Ik denk dat de uitspraak van de rechter wel mee zal vallen, alleen is de vraag hoe lang de rechtzaak zal duren é ?

    Een ander probleem stelt zich nu met deze dalende koersen: Wanneer terug instappen?

    @Joshua41: De rechtszaak zou (als ik het goed begrepen heb) voor eind oktober geregeld kunnen zijn.
    Beide partijen hebben tot en met augustus om hun gegevens in te dienen. Dan nog 2 maanden tot de rechter tot een uitspraak komt (zie ook het Youtube filmpje van Hogan advocaat, die legt in 1 van zijn filmpjes de tijdstabel uit).

    Volgende week wordt de nieuwe SEC voorzitter benoemt, men verwacht dat er met hem wel tot een "settlement" kan worden gekomen. Weet alleen niet of dat mogelijk is van uit wettelijk oogpunt..

    Hm dat is altijd de gok... wanneer jij vindt dat het een mooie prijs is zou ik zeggen ;-)
    Kan zo maar zijn dat het komende weken weer gaat dalen, het is alleen maar speculeren en gokken naar mijn mening.

    Bitfinex and Tether settled with the New York Attorney General office in the landmark case against Tether. New York authorities alleged that Tether misrepresented the degree to which Tether (USDT) coins were backed by fiat collateral.

    The settlement requires Bitfinex and Tether to pay $18.5 million for damages to the New York State, as well as submit to periodic reporting of their reserves. The terms of the settlement mandate Bitfinex and Tether to report their current reserve status and budge, any transaction between the two companies, as well as provide public reports for the specific composition of their cash and non-cash reserves. The reports will need to be submitted each quarter for the next two years.

    Finally, the settlement also requires Bitfinex and Tether to stop servicing customers in the state of New York.

    As previously reported by Cointelegraph, the lawsuit by the NYAG alleged that Tethers were not fully backed by reserves at certain times. Specifically, Bitfinex is alleged to have opened a line of credit with Tether to repay an $850 million shortfall from the failure of its former partner, Crypto Capital Corp. The line of credit has since been closed, as reported by Tether and confirmed by the authorities. While the documents make specific claims as to the status of Tether reserves in 2017 and 2018, the regulators did not seem to have any issues with Tether’s reserve status in 2021.

    The settlement fine of $18.5 million is by now a very small portion of all existing USDT, which are almost $35 billion. A Tether spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the company is "pleased to have reached a settlement of legal proceedings." They continued:

    "Under the terms of the settlement, we admit no wrongdoing. The settlement amount we have agreed to pay to the Attorney General’s Office should be viewed as a measure of our desire to put this matter behind us and focus on our business. We are pleased that our customers have shown loyalty and commitment to our businesses over the past two years, while this investigation was ongoing.

    Ter info: Ikzelf heb mijn positie in Ripple na 4 jaar helemaal geliquideerd. Bedoeling is om binnen paar weken lager terug te kopen.
    Mocht het morgen doorstijgen richting ATH dan zal ik even slikken

    Heeft er iemand nog tips voor sites / forum waar je goede informatie kunt vinden over Cryptocurrencies?
    Ik zit nu op Reddit en Facebook, maar laatste tijd is dat vooral veel mensen die zeggen dat prijzen naar 50-100 euro kunnen gaan en liefst morgen nog...

    Men zegt altijd doe je eigen onderzoek, maar ben benieuwd waar jullie je informatie vandaan halen?

    Betrouwbare informatie over crypto's bestaat niet of je hebt er niks aan.

    Dus zeggen ze eigenlijk dat de regels niet helemaal duidelijk zijn en dat ze daar aan moeten werken. Sterke case voor Ripple dus. Ik verkoop ze niet.
