    TomTom presenteert nieuwe partners
    Voor IndiGO project.

    (ABM FN-Dow Jones) TomTom heeft een serie nieuwe partners voor zijn IndiGO ecosysteem aangekondigd.

    Access Company, Amazon Alexa, ART, Bosch, Cerence, Cinemo, Digital Charging Solutions, Faurecia Aptoide Automotive, HARMAN, iHeartRadio, Intellias, Microsoft, en Rightware werden door de Nederlandse navigatiespecialist als zogeheten launching partners gepresenteerd.

    TomTom IndiGO is volgens de navigatiespecialist het eerste open digitale softwareplatform voor het dashboard in auto's. Autofabrikanten en software-ontwikkelaars kunnen hiervan gebruik maken.

    "We hebben in de loop der jaren geleerd dat softwareontwikkeling voor voertuigen traag en duur kan zijn voor autofabrikanten. TomTom IndiGO is het perfecte antwoord op de behoeften van onze klanten", liet TomTom in een toelichting op de lancering van het project weten.

    Het aandeel TomTom wint dinsdagmiddag 2,9 procent.

    Maar mijn gevoel zegt dat het drukken van de koers niet langer zin heeft. TomTom heeft nu aangetoond waar het toe in staat is. HERE zal erbij verbleken. Google ziet z'n reclame inkomsten verdampen, Apple zal een niet te winnen strijd aangaan. Maar ja ik ben ook maar een dagdromer.
