    zo ben helemaal bijgelezen ! kon der vanochtend helaas niet bij zijn maar zie dat er geen aandeel onder het bod over de toonbank is gegaan !! positief lijkt me !! op naar het volgende bod...;)

    Corus-aandeelhouder: bod van Tata Steel onder verwachting

    Amsterdam (BETTEN BEURSMEDIA NEWS) - Standard Life, met een belang van 7,95% de grootste aandeelhouder van Corus, zegt dat het bod van Tata Steel op Corus lager is dan zij had verwacht. Dit heeft het financiele concern vrijdag laten weten in een persverklaring.

    'Het bod van 455 pence per aandeel door Tata voor Corus is lager dan wij hadden verwacht dat het bestuur van Corus zou overeenkomen en aanbevelen', zo stelt Standard Life. Volgens de aandeelhouder kent het bod geen belangrijke waarde aan Corus-aandeelhouders toe uit de te behalen besparingen die volgens Standard Life substantieel zijn.

    Volgens de belegger bevindt Corus zich in een interessante strategische positie binnen de sector in deze periode van consolidatie in de wereldwijde staalsector. 'Wij denken dat het bod niet volledig de waarde van deze positie reflecteert', aldus Standard Life.

    Persbericht Standard Life - reactie op bod Tata op Corus
    AMSTERDAM (FD.nl/Betten) - Hier volgt een persbericht uitgegeven door Standard Life inzake een reactie op het bod van Tata Steel op Corus:

    "The 455p per share offer by Tata for Corus is lower than we would have expected the board of Corus to agree to and recommend. The Corus management team has done an excellent job in restructuring the group and restoring finances to a healthy state. The trading performance of Corus has been very strong and produced very attractive cash flows which we believe could be worth more than the current price being offered by Tata.

    "The global steel business is undergoing a period of rapid consolidation, which leaves Corus in an interesting strategic position within the industry. We feel that the offer price does not fully reflect the value of that position. We also believe that the capacity discipline that we have seen so far in this cycle will continue and lead to a less volatile, and therefore more valuable, flow of earnings in the future from Corus' assets.

    "The acquisition of Corus brings many advantages to Tata, including elevating it into the top five of global steel producers and an as yet unquantified amount of synergy benefits. The 455p per share offer from Tata does not attribute significant value to Corus shareholders from
    achieving what we understand to be the substantial savings available from the joining of the two businesses."
