    Ja, Frank... Het is niet de CO2 die een probleem voor de planeet is, maar het ongebreidelde groei van de wereldbevolking die een rem op de welvaart en het milieu zal gaan geven. Alleen daar valt voor de overheden weinig aan te stelen. En in sommige landen ook nog eens een zooitje stemmen die je nodig hebt om je herverkiezing veilig te stellen.

    Een duivels dilemma, maar daar weet Wim Kok alles van. (;-)

    noord-korea was ook al "levensgevaarlijk".
    werd door de usa niet vermeld dat de dreiging te maken had met het voedsel-hulp-programma van amerika.
    Irak en Iran,hoge olieprijzen,enz enz....
    huizenmarkt usa en de "slechte hypotheken" ,ook allemaal levengevaarlijk??????
    meen mij te herinneren dat er in Holland ook eens een aantal hypotheekbanken op de fles gingen,had dat zón invloed op de beurzen???niet echt dus!
    de aex zal m.i. richting de 600 punten gaan,ondanks de zwartkijker,die trouwens al heel lang roepen dat de beurzen in de wereld gaan crashen!
    Europa doet het goed en ook de werled-economie draait gewoon goed(ondanks de "hoge"olieprijs),amerika zie ik niet in een recessie terecht komen(Greenspan heeft ook weer een keer wat positiefs naar buiten gebracht)
    ach,als je maar lang genoeg blijft schreeuwen dat we gaan crashen,krijg je uiteindelijk een keer gelijk,maar ik schat in dat de "crash" nog een aantal jaar op zich zal laten wachten.
    ach er zijn 2 beroepen in de werled waarbij het niet uitmaakt of je voorspelling uitkomt en dat zijn:weerman en beurs-analist!(als de heren ontslagen werden bij een foute voorspelling,dan waren de beurs-analisten schaars in aantal,maar daarover hoeven we ons geen zorgen te maken.

    Frank toch. Als je niets over klimaatwetenschap weet, dan blijf je er best af. Spreek over de beurs, maar hou nu AUB eens op met nonsens te spuien over global warming. Overigens, die docu die je aanhaalt, rammelt langs alle kanten. Waarom? Zie www.realclimate.org/index.php/archive...

    Bakken geld? Ja, maar realistisch is het niet. Laat de kudde nog maar even doordromen en de bel wat verder opblazen. De knal zal hard zijn en daarna is iedereen weer op aarde en kunnen we weer beginnen met gewoon verdienen. Onbegrijpelijk hoe de massa zich telkens weer laat belazeren.

    Frank, contra-indicator of niet , ik vind jouw grafieken prima want die liegen niet en die hoef ik zo niet telkens zelf op te zoeken.Jouw commentaar en voorspelling zal niet gelijk gelijk uitkomen misschien maar de dreiging verwoorden lijkt me niet ongezond. Evenwicht in de verhoudingen zal altijd de gulden middenweg zijn en die zie ik nu ook niet zo . Het zal wel een gevalletje ff wachten...nog ff wachten.... nog ff wat meer wachten... PIZZA zijn

    Met verbazing lees ik opmerkingen van mensen die menen een professional, zoals Frank van Dongen, op zijn plaats te moeten zetten. Wat denken deze mensen wel wie ze zijn? Met opmerkingen van … “je hebt een bord voor je kop” … tonen deze mensen hun klasse.

    Frank zijn opmerkingen zijn met feitelijkheden ondersteund. Over deze feitelijkheden kan gediscussieerd worden. Dit is de bedoeling van een forum. Hoe meer feiten er bekend worden des te beter een beslissing op de beurs genomen kan worden.

    Hierbij komt ook nog eens dat niet alleen Frank deze feiten weergeeft. Ook zijn collega de heer Nikken doet dit uitstekend. Hebben zij en anderen het dan zo mis?

    De historie en de toekomst zal dit uitwijzen. Hoe de uitkomst dan ook zal zijn, het is bijzonder laag bij de grond om een persoon te woord te staan met “ je hebt een bord voor je kop”. Als je als lezer geen waarde hecht aan de opmerkingen van Frank, reageer dan niet; lees het niet.

    LONDON (Dow Jones)--The dollar is lower Monday except against the yen, which sunk after officials from the Group of Seven leading industrialized nations failed to voice any concern about carry trades during their weekend meeting.

    Analysts said sentiment towards the U.S. currency is deteriorating on concerns about rising inflation pressures in the U.S., the growing threat of protectionist measures against China and a deteriorating outlook for U.S. first quarter profits as the earnings season starts this week.

    The pound, meanwhile, approached $2.00 as stronger-than-expected producer prices data and evidence that the U.K. house prices are still buoyant increased pressure on the Bank of England to hike interest rates.

    G7 officials gave an upbeat assessment of the global economy following their meeting in Washington, leaving much of the wording in their final statement unchanged from their previous meeting in Essen, Germany, in February.

    Analysts said the lack of any mention about the weakness of the yen had given the market a green light to continue selling lower-yielding currencies in favor of higher-yielding ones.

    This helped to push the Swiss franc as well as the yen lower in most places, with the euro chalking up a fresh record high of Y162.43 while the dollar rose to a six-weekhigh of Y119.72.

    But elsewhere, the dollar sunk to a two-year low against the euro, at $1.3578, as the U.S. currency got less support from yield differentials.

    Analysts said the market is becoming increasingly sensitive to the rise in U.S. inflationary pressures, which could ensure that the dollar remains of limited attraction even if U.S. rates are increased.

    The recent rise of trade tensions with China is also seen as an issue discouraging dollar buyers as the U.S. currency is expected to suffer if protectionism starts to become a serious issue in world trading markets.

    Mitul Kotecha, chief currency strategist with Calyon in London, said the first quarter earnings season that gets underway in earnest this week could also undermine support.

    "The outlook for earnings have turned more negative," he said, noting that the slow down in demand alongside higher labor costs will compress margins.

    Kotecha also doubts that even positive data later in the day will help dollar sentiment. Retail sales are expected to show a 0.5% rise last month, improving on the 0.1% increase in January.

    The other big number is the Treasury international flow data which is expected to show a decline to $81.5 billion from $97.4 billion, but should still be enough to cover the $58.4 billion trade gap registered that month.

    By 1040 GMT, the dollar had risen to Y119.52 from Y119.17 late Friday in New York, according to EBS.

    However, the euro was at $1.3556 from $1.3532, and the dollar also fell to CHF1.2120 from CHF1.2146. The pound also powered to $1.9923 from $1.9859late Friday with support from economic data.

    The U.K.'s Office of National Statistics said output PPI rose 0.6% in March, up from 0.4% in February and above market expectations of a 0.3% rise. Input PPI rose 1.2% on the month, below February's 1.5% gain but above forecasts of a 1.0% increase.

    Support also came from a survey by online estate agency Rightmove showing house prices rose 3.6% on the month in April, the fastest monthly pace in five years.

    The U.N. watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said Iran's plans were still in the early stages and said it was only running several hundred centrifuges not the thousands normally associated with industrial enrichment.

    The more centrifuges Iran operates the quicker it could enrich enough fuel to the high levels needed for a bomb, if that was its aim, but Western experts say Iran is still several years away from building a warhead.
