   Kan nooit goed zijn voor de marges van NYSE Euronext.
   Hopelijk dat dan wel deze lagere kosten een keer worden doorgegeven aan de klant, hebben we er toeminste nog iets aan.
   
   US high-frequency firm Getco plans Europe platform - Getco, one of the world’s largest market-makers and “highfrequency
   trading” firms, plans to set up a new European trading venue, highlighting how big US trading firms are expanding into the
   region’s increasingly fragmented equity markets. The move by the Chicago-based company also highlights how trading is shifting away from
   traditional exchanges, dividing liquidity across new types of venues and posing fresh challenges for regulators. Electronic trading has led to
   the proliferation of “dark pools”, broker-run trade matching services and those operated by market-makers backed by their own capital –
   such as Getco. Privately held Getco is part of a breed of trading groups that makes bids and offers in shares, futures, options and
   currencies, replicating the market-making done in the past by traders on the floors of exchanges. Optiver, Europe’s largest market-making
   and high-frequency firm, is also planning to target retail order flow with TOM, a platform it recently set up with BinckBank, a
