Investigation found errors, says Petrobras manager
Security Officer of the state Senate said the CPI that after 44 days of investigation, allegations of paying bribes to officials have not been proven
Manager Corporate Security Petrobras, Pedro Lima Aramis Alvarez, told the parliamentary committee of inquiry (CPI) Senate investigating irregularities in the company that found no evidence of payment of bribes by the Dutch SBM Offshore employees of the Brazilian state.
The manager, who testified in the Senate yesterday morning, headed the commission of inquiry opened by the oil to investigate complaints in the press.
- We have not identified evidence that our employees earned advantage of personal or pecuniary or received any type of favoritism - he said.
According to him, after 44 days of investigation, with analysis of contracts and additives, it was shown that businesses were correct and in accordance with rules adopted by the state. SBM maintains links with Petrobras since 1996.
In response to the CPI Rapporteur, José Pimentel (PT-EC), Arruda said Julio Faerman, SBM representative in Brazil, was heard by the inquiry committee and that no irregularities in his relationship with Petrobras were checked.
- Petrobras did not direct to Mr. Faerman or any of their payments businesses. The payments were made regularly for SBM, according to the contractually - concluded.
