   En wat denken de geleerden zal dit nog invloed hebben op de koers?.
   
   Blijf me een beetje verbazen dat ze nog steeds niet met een omzet bijstelling zijn gekomen.
   
   Lijkt wel of ze alle goed nieuws persberichten gefaseerd naar het einde van het jaar willen uitbrengen.
   
   Zoals een aantal onder jullie is opgevallen blijft de koers voor call dec en maart opties blijft hoog. Of er zijn een aantal crucell believers die een extreem geloof hebben in het bedrijf en het aandeel..... of zijn er onders ons ingewijden die toch meer weten of de insides van crucell.
   
   Lijkt mij toch altijd heel moeilijk om bedrijfs info compleet te beschermen. Verkopers gaan er graag prat op hun succes met velen te delen.Heeft 1 van jullie Crucell lovers niet een contactje in de verkoop bij Crucell?:)
   
   Weet zeker dat we een leuke tijd tegemoet gaan de komende maanden.

   Crucell Receives NIAID/NIH Contract for Development of Ebola and Marburg Vaccines
   
   Leiden, The Netherlands (October 3, 2008) - Dutch biopharma company Crucell N.V. (Euronext, Nasdaq: CRXL; Swiss Exchange: CRX) today announced that it received a National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)/National Institutes of Health (NIH) contract aimed at advancing the development of a multivalent filovirus vaccine that includes both Ebola and Marburg viruses. The contract provides funding of up to $30 million, with additional options that may be triggered at the discretion of the NIH worth a further $40 million.
   
   "We are grateful to the NIAID/NIH for this award, which makes use of Crucell's proprietary AdVac® technology" said Dr. Jaap Goudsmit, Crucell's Chief Scientific Officer. "This award recognizes the scientific basis for using rare adenovirus serotypes to develop vaccines." Dr. Goudsmit added, "The contract builds upon earlier work Crucell has performed with the Vaccine Research Center at NIH, and brings us a step closer to being able to provide effective countermeasures against a highly lethal infectious disease."
   
   Crucell will be the primary contractor with additional services being supplied by the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research, located in San Antonio, Texas and Quintiles Guys Drug Research Unit, located in London.

   The Ebola and Marburg viruses are capable of causing hemorrhagic fever, a severe, often-fatal disease in humans characterized by high fever and massive internal bleeding causing death in 50% to 80% of all cases. Ebola and Marburg outbreaks occur regularly in tropical Africa, affecting both human and great ape populations. Since the Ebola virus was first recognized, approximately 2,200 cases including over 1,500 deaths have been reported. To date over 440 cases of Marburg have been reported with approximately 360 fatalities. Ebola and Marburg usually appear in sporadic outbreaks, and spread within a health-care setting.     ben al eerder ingestapt,en ik heb dit bericht gisteravond ook gezien.Maar ik bedoel dat het bericht niet op tijd wereldkundig is gemaakt.Het al gisteravond bij de pers moeten zijn en het had ook vanmorgen voor 9 uur voor iedereen op het nieuws moeten staan.

    Vaccine Has Potential to Save Millions of Lives
    
    GERMANTOWN, Md. - Integrated BioTherapeutics Inc. (IBT), a biotechnology company focused on development of medical countermeasures for biodefense and emerging infectious diseases, announced they have been awarded a multiyear contract for advanced development of a vaccine to protect against Ebola and Marburg viruses from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health. The contract is valued at approximately $22 million, which, if options are exercised, could total up to up $65 million.
    
    Considered a significant bioterrorist threat, Ebola and Marburg lead to death 30-90 percent of the time they are contracted, and there are currently no vaccines or therapeutics available for treatment of humans infected with either virus. Ebola and Marburg virus outbreaks typically occur in resource poor areas in sub-saharan Africa, although rare cases have occurred in the United States, Europe and the Phillippines. Filoviruses are also a source of concern as potential bioterror agents.
    
    “We are very pleased that NIAID has awarded such a significant contract to fund the advanced development activities for our virus-like particle vaccine against Ebola and Marburg viruses. This is a significant step forward in our mission to improving public health and developing medical countermeasures for biodefense. This contract will fund a major portion of the preclinical and clinical activities required to confirm and refine the activity in animals and verify the activity in humans,” commented Dr. Javad Aman, IBT President and Chief Scientific Officer.
    
    IBT is collaborating with colleagues at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) to develop a subunit vaccine, based on the virus-like particles, with broad-spectrum activity toward different strains of Ebola and Marburg viruses. Other collaborating organizations include Protein Sciences Corporation, Meriden, Conn.; Aridis Pharmaceuticals, San Jose, Calif.; Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Tex.; and AMAR International, Fairfax, Va.
    
    The ultimate objective of the government's program is to develop a safe and effective vaccine to protect against the Zaire, Sudan and Cote d'Ivoire strains of Ebola virus as well as multiple isolates of Marburg virus. The vaccine, to be developed by IBT, provides broad protection in nonhuman primates. The virus-like particle vaccines are strikingly similar to the authentic virus and were originally developed by IBT's founders and their colleagues at USAMRIID.
    
    Initially, IBT will receive approximately $22 million to conduct preclinical activities, including preclinical efficacy animal studies, development and qualification of assays, formulation studies and process development for manufacturing activities. After preclinical studies, NIAID may exercise options to the contract that include cGMP manufacturing, Phase 1 clinical trial, scale-up of cGMP manufacturing, lyophylized formulation and a Phase 2 clinical trial The potential value of the entire contract if all the options are exercised by the government, is $65.2 million.

    Dit is inderdaad het bericht en het was dus niet aossa.
    
    Grappig om te zien dat:
    1) met flu voor een significant hoger bedrag gegarandeerd is (basis bedrag), maar de reactie tegengesteld is.
    
    2) we mogelijk deze week nòg een persbericht kunnen verwachten, mits Crucell zelf ook eens gaat kijken. Vermoedelijk, à lá bovenstaande, kan de In Rust afdeling de druk even niet aan.
