Syntax-Brillian Up After Raising Calendar 2007 Sales Outlook
NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of high-definition television maker Syntax-Brillian Corp. rose in premarket electronic trading Tuesday, a day after the company raised its full-year revenue forecast and backed its fiscal fourth-quarter outlook.

Before the bell Monday, Syntax-Brillian said it expects revenue between $1.1 billion and $1.3 billion for the calendar year, up from an estimate of $950 million to $1.1 billion. It said it has gained new accounts and that demand is strong.
For the quarter ended June 30, the company expects sales of between $190 million and $210 million, or 240,000 to 270,000 units sold.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial estimated sales of $196.4 million for the quarter.
CIBC World Markets analyst Daniel Gelbtuch reiterated a "Sector Outperform" rating on the Tempe, Ariz., company. He expects the stock to more than double over the next year, rising to $15 per share.
"With demand surging in key markets, particularly Asia, Syntax-Brillian's prospects remain bright," he said.
