   Tsja, Oleg. Die eeuwige vragen bij beleggers. Vooral wanneer in- en uitstappen.
   In de achteruitkijkspiegel is 't makkelijk.
   Gisterochtend was dus DE instaptijd voor FUR.En vele andere bakstenen in de wereld turmoil.
   Lijkt 't nu.
   Over 2 maanden konkluderen we misschien weer wat anders...
   Edoch, wat er op korte termijn ook gebeuren mag, op langere termijn komt 't wel goed met Fugro in de zoektocht naar olie/gas.
   Meer vraag, stagnerend aanbod.
   Als de prijs van het zwarte goud echter te snel stijgt in korte tijd heeft dat weer een 'dodelijk' effekt op ekonomische ontwikkelingen.En de olieprijs en de zoektocht naar meer. Zie 2008 scenario.
   Enfin, ik klink als een papegaai.

   Ondergewaardeerd tov andere oilservicecompanies de laatste 6 maanden.
   Hoogvlieger tot eind 2010 is nu laagvlieger en mooi om in te stappen, imho.
   Corne van Zeijl had toch gelijk met z'n uitspraak hier te IEX in Dec jl: is zo hard gegaan,nu beter even uitstappen. Krektie op komst. En gelijk had ie.
   Wel, als je maar lang genoeg uitspraken doet, komt er altijd wel eentje uit.LOL.
   Geldt ook voor de mijne uiteraard.

   Ah wel, weer 1 van die moeilijk te verteren persberichten van Fugro.
   Ik begin oud te worden, blijkbaar.
   Enfin, de laatste alinea vat het gehele gebeuren samen.
   'Helping to reduce overall operational costs'.Bij het boren en positioneren van horizontale oliebronnen en 'tactical positioning ' of artificial fracture stimulation.
   En dat is een pluspunt denk ik.
   Er wordt nogal wat horizontaal geboord en gefractioneeerd in 'tight formations', vooral onshore tegenwoordig. Zowel voor olie als gas.
   Een gigantische groeimarkt. Goed voor Fugro.En CarlZeiss.
   In de US waren de laatste jaren 2/3e van de boringen naar gas,1/3e naar olie; tegenwoordig is 't 50/50.Gas/olie.
   
   Verder, tav de koers van FUR. Die zit, met 1 oog dicht en het andere (TA oog) open, kijkend naar de grafiek, sinds eind Nov. zo'n 5-6x tegen de oude weerstand, top uit Nov. 2007 op Euro 62,5, aan te drukken. En slaagt er nog steeds niet in om die barriere te doorbreken. Sterke weerstand blijkbaar.
   Het is een hardnekkige strijd.
   Toevallig, niet toevallig eigenlijk, want toen uit Fugro gestapt, heb ik op Yahoo een porto bijgehouden, sinds 22 Oktober jl, en ook een porto van de Oilservicesector ^OSX, alsmede de OIH oilservicesectortracker.
   Wat blijkt: Fugro is sinds die tijd zo'n 20% gestegen, de sectortrackers daarentegen ruim 40%.
   Dit zijn getallen uit het geheugen en zal die straks updaten.
   De vraag is, waarom Fugro, na jaren een vooruitstrevend aandeel te zijn geweest, nu een achterblijvert is.
   Wel, denk ik dan, als ,bij torenhoge olieprijzen, de weerstand 1 dezer dagen doorbroken wordt zal Fugro eindelijk als een speer door de 62,5 weerstand gaan richting 65-70. Om de onterechte achterstand in te lopen.
   
   Doet uw eigen huiswerk zou ik zeggen.

   Hhhhmmmmwww. sinds IEX, op 1 April 3 dimensionaal is gegaan is de hele boel hier ook vertraagd.
   Zo ver met de vooruitgang.:-)
   
   Ik was nog een paar harde getallen verschuldigd.
   Hier komen ze:
   Sinds 22 Okt. jl.
   *FUR: +24%
   ^AEX: +8%
   Fugro outperformert dus.
   *^OSX: +42%
   *OIH: +46%
   Fugro underperformert dus.
   
   Maar 't zou zo maar kunnen, als F. de weerstand op Euro 62,50 eindelijk weet te doorbreken dat de achterstand wordt ingelopen.
   Op naar 70 euro imho.

   Vrijdag jl sloot de koers van FUR op EUR 62,45. Ouwe top uit Nov. 2007.
   
   Hmmmwwww, met olieprijs op USD 107/8(WTI) en USD 117/8 (Brent)
   zou de jump richting EUR 70 zo maar kunnen beginnen.
   Dat is ruwweg gesproken, zo'n 15% meer dan nu.

   AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Fugro nv (FUR.AE) heeft nieuwe opdrachten verworven in Brazilie met een totale waarde van $180 miljoen, maakt de bodemonderzoeker maandag bekend.
   
   De eerste opdrachten betreft ROV (remotely operated vehicle)-diensten en duikwerkzaamheden voor Petrobras en Otto Candies. Dit contract, met een waarde van $100 miljoen, loopt vijf jaar met een optie voor nog eens vijf jaar. De werkzaamheden zullen begin 2012 aanvangen.
   
   Daarnaast heeft Fugro een lopend contract met Sealion Shipping met drie jaar kunnen verlengen. Hiermee is een bedrag gemoeid van circa $80 miljoen voor in de periode tot eind 2014 uit te voeren werk, aldus Fugro.

   Hey Voda, bedankt voor plaatsen van laatste nieuws.
   
   't gaat wel goed met Fugro, denk ik zo. Men blijft aan de weg timmeren, oa met overnames en uitbreiding van aktiviteiten. Trouwens, zo'n 5-10 jaar geleden moesten ze niets hebben van duik(ers)aktiviteiten, maar ze zijn, in ieder geval in Brazilie, van mening veranderd.
   Flexibiliteit is belangrijk.
   
   Heden een memorabel dagje, kwa koers.
   Gesloten op EUR 62,92.
   Intraday hoog: EUR.63,41.
   Nog nooit zo hoog gekoerst. ATH, medio Nov. 2007, was rond 62,5 EUR.
   Uitgebroken kan gekonkludeerd worden.
   EUR 70 is volgende koersdoel.
   Termijn? Paar maanden denk ik.
   Maar heb geen glazen bol.

   Zandeman, je weet dat ik dit aandeel al heel erg lang in "vizier" had.
   
   Wat een misser van mij.... ach, ik zit er wel vaker naast.

   De vrijwel horizontale trend is opwaarts verbroken. Het aandeel geeft een verdere positieve koersontwikkeling aan. Bij een eventuele reactie neerwaarts is er steun op de trendlijnen. Het aandeel heeft de weerstand bij 62.20 euro opwaarts verbroken. Een verdere stijging mag verwacht worden. Volumetoppen komen overeen met koersbodems en volumebodems komen overeen met koerstoppen. Dit verzwakt de trendbreuk. De RSI is overbought, toch kan het aandeel blijven stijgen. Pas als de RSI weer daalt is dit een negatief signaal. De RSI-curve laat een stijgende trend zien, dit kan een vroeg signaal zijn voor het begin van een stijgende trend van de koers. Het aandeel is totaal gezien technisch positief voor de korte termijn.

    es LEIDSCHENDAM (AFN) - Bodemonderzoeker Fugro gaat de Amerikaanse kust in kaart brengen, zowel vanuit de lucht als op de grond. Daartoe heeft het bedrijf een vijfjarig contract getekend met de National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
    
    Dat maakte Fugro dinsdag bekendgemaakt zonder financiële details te vermelden. Maandag maakte Fugro bekend contracten ter waarde van 180 miljoen dollar (127 miljoen euro) te hebben afgesloten in Brazilië.

    Gisteren in het nieuws, voda meldde het al:
    
    "Bodemonderzoeker Fugro neemt het bedrijf Bluestone Offshore en zijn dochterondernemingen over van Reef Subsea AS. Dat maakte het bedrijf maandag bekend, zonder financiële details te melden.Bluestone is een geotechnische dienstverlener die actief is in zuidoost Azië en Australië. Met circa 40 medewerkers realiseerde het vorig jaar vanuit standplaats Singapore een omzet van ongeveer 20 miljoen dollar. Het kantoor wordt samengevoegd met de geotechnische activiteiten van Fugro in Singapore."
    
    Goeie move van Fugro. Ik beschik niet over detailinformatie, en ben te lui cq te druk om uitgebreid te googelen, maar soms past nieuws goed bij privé-info.
    
    M'n dochter geeft les in PNG, maar doet al vele maanden moeite om (weer) een definitief werkvisum te verkrijgen. Nu is daar altijd wat 'smeergeld' van werkgeverskant voor nodig, maar nu duurt het wel erg lang.
    Verklaring volgens insiders: de paar ambtenaren die daar in Pt. Moresby over gaan hebben hun bureau vol met visumaanvragen van vele werknemers bij hun grote (off-shore) LNG- project.
    
    Een directe link met FUR of Bleustone zou ik niet weten (anderen hier wel?). Maar als 'globale' FA-belegger zeg ik: goed dat FUR daar in het Verre (Zuid-) Oosten actief is, het echt booming daar!!
    En dat zei ik hier al eerder.
    
    PS. Met die mining tax in Australië valt het wel mee. Off-shore maatschappijen mogen ook voor het 'oude tax-regime' kiezen.

    WHL orders more Seychelles seismic
    Australia-listed WHL Energy has signed an agreement with seismic players Fugro Data Services and Geomahakarsa for additional 2D data covering its acreage off the Republic of Seychelles.

    WHL said it had enlisted the duo to shoot a further 887 kilometres of 2D seismic over the Creole lead, in Area 3, based on the results of initial data.
    
    Fugro and Geomahakarsa recently wrapped up a 17,000 kilometre 2D shoot off Seychelles which included 7200 kilometres over WHL’s acreage.
    
    WHL chief executive David Rowbottam said the infill data would remove remaining uncertainties about existing leads and assist the company in identifying suitable drilling targets.
    
    “By taking advantage of the seismic vessel in the area, WHL’s Seychelles exploration program is accelerated and the necessary infill seismic data is acquired cost effectively,” he said.
    
    “This is another important step in our plans to farm-down interests in our Seychelles project and will remove the requirement for additional seismic acquisition prior to farm-down of the acreage.”
    
    Earlier this month WHL announced plans to issue up to 312.5 million shares raise up to A$10 million (US$10.5 million) to fund the completion of its Seychelles seismic program.
    
    A recent independent report by Isis Petroleum Consultants confirmed the potential of 12 leads across 4 different plays in WHL’s Seychelles acreage.
    
    The report also estimated the leads had the potential to contain unrisked mean oil in place of between 166 million barrels and 5.44 billion barrels per lead.
    
    WHL said the new 2D shoot would start immediately.

    Goed om te lezen dat het schip in de buurt was en de klant dus kosten-efficient de extra data kon laten vergaren. Denk dat leverancier ook erg blij was een mogeljk gat in de planning zonder extra mobilisatiekosten dicht te varen. Pure win-win? Overigens natuurlijk relatief kleine opdracht.

    Fugro has been awarded a EUR 3.1 million hydrographic survey contract by the Finnish and Swedish Hydrographic Offices for a 13,000 km2 area taking in shipping routes between Sweden and Finland, in the Gulf of Bothnia, Baltic Sea.
    
    The areas to be surveyed in the summer of 2011 are within the Swedish and Finnish EEZ, but outside of each country’s territorial waters. Results from the survey will be for updating nautical charts and associated navigational information, e.g. HELCOM routes.
    
    Water depths in the project area range from less than 10m to deeper than 130m. Fugro will use two vessels, both fitted with multi beam echosounders of highest resolution. Survey operations are expected to begin as soon as ice-conditions allow, with an expected completion of acquisition in October 2011.
    
    The project consists of separate contracts with both, the Finnish Transport Agency’s (FTA), and the Swedish Maritime Administration (SMA) organisations.

    Fugro has reached agreement with JDR Cable Systems (Netherlands) Ltd to acquire JDR Cable Systems Holdings Netherlands BV and its marine cable subsidiary JDR Cable Systems BV, together comprising JDR’s Marine Cables division.
    
    JDR Marine Cables designs and produces special marine cables for oil and gas (subsea lead-in cables, array cables, control cables), geophysical (airgun umbilicals, lead-ins) and defense (towed arrays) market segments. The facility is based close to Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and the division has around 110 employees. The division will operate as an independent unit and aims to further develop its current range of products and services and to continue the supply to all its clients.
    
    Current annual revenues of the company are in the order of Euro 25 million. The division will be renamed to De Regt Marine Cables.

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Hoewel de acquisitie van JDR's Marine Cables divisie door Fugro (FUR.AE) een relatief kleine overname betreft, is het een mooie aanvulling op de portefeuille en van groei door middel van acquisities, reageert SNS Securities. De analist wijst er op dat Fugro dit jaar veel actiever is op overnamevlak dan vorig jaar. In 2010 werd slechts 0,4% aan omzet toegevoegd door overnames, tegen al 5,5% in 2011 tot nu toe.     Kelman is a privately held company headquartered in Calgary with operations in Canada, USA and Mexico. Kelman’s expertise in land data processing complements Fugro’s existing seismic data processing capability. This acquisition expands Fugro’s seismic processing footprint across the USA and provides an entry into the Canadian seismic market. The combination of Kelman’s and Fugro’s seismic imaging and inversion technologies will also provide a tool for developing unconventional oil and gas plays across the globe.
    
    The annual revenue of Kelman’s processing business amounts to approximately USD 12 million.

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)-- Hoewel de aangekondigde overname door Fugro van de divisie van het Canadese Kelman Technologies, die seismische data verwerkt, klein is, is de overname volgens analist Martijn den Drijver van SNS Securities een teken van vertrouwen van het Nederlandse concern in zijn eigen positie en in de ontwikkeling van de markt in het algemeen. De analist handhaaft zijn buy-advies en meldt zijn koersdoel van euro 60,00 na de presentatie van de kwartaalcijfers 10 mei aan te passen. Omstreeks 09.55 uur noteert vlak op euro 62,33, terwijl de AEX met 0,4% daalt. (PBU)

Kelman’s expertise in land data processing complements Fugro’s existing seismic data processing capability. This acquisition expands Fugro’s seismic processing footprint across the USA and provides an entry into the Canadian seismic market. The combination of Kelman’s and Fugro’s seismic imaging and inversion technologies will also provide a tool for developing unconventional oil and gas plays across the globe.
    
    The annual revenue of Kelman’s processing business amounts to approximately USD 12 million.
    
    The transaction is expected to close within May 2011.

    AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Fugro nv (FUR.AE) zal dinsdag voorafgaand aan zijn algemene vergadering van aandeelhouders een kwalitatieve trading update geven. Bij de publicatie over de jaarcijfers over 2010 stelde Fugro tekenen van een geleidelijk herstel te zien, met name in het Verre Oosten, maar dat de prijsdruk aanhield als gevolg van overcapaciteit op deelmarkten, zoals seismische en constructie-ondersteunende activiteiten op zee. De winstmarge nam daarom af in vergelijking met een jaar eerder. Het bedrijf, dat grote oliemaatschappijen tot zijn klanten rekent, zal net als voorgaande jaren, vanwege de voortdurende onzekerheden en volatiliteit in de markt, pas bij de halfjaarcijfers met een kwantitatieve outlook voor de resultaten van 2011 komen.     The Supervisory Board of Fugro N.V. announces that effective 2012 Fugro will be managed in accordance with a board-of-management model.
    The increased size of the company makes a more collective decision-making process and more delegation of operational tasks desirable for the ongoing development of the company. Fugro will depart from the CEO model, which has been in effect for many years. This change in management model coincides with the departure of Mr. K.S. Wester who will reach retirement next year.
    
    Effective 1 January 2012 the Board of Management will consist of the following members that are currently already employed by Fugro and whereby the current divisional structure will be maintained:
    Mr. A. Steenbakker (54) - Chairman
    Mr. P. van Riel (55) - Vice-chairman, also technology/innovation and Director Geoscience Division
    Mr. W.S. Rainey* (56) - Director Geotechnical Division
    Mr. J. Rüegg (66) - Director Survey Division
    Mr. A. Jonkman (57) - Financial Director (cfo)
    
    As CEO, Mr. Wester will retain responsibility for the financial year 2011; which includes the completion of the 2011 annual accounts and report. Mr. Wester is a statutory director since 1996 and appointed President and CEO in 2005. His leadership was instrumental for Fugro’s success and continued development. We want to express our appreciation for his contribution. Mr. Wester will retire at the end of May 2012.
    
    *Assuming that today Mr. Rainey is appointed by the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.
    
    Please find below a short curriculum vitae of each new member of the Board of Management:
    
    Mr. A. Steenbakker (54) joined Fugro in 2005. In September 2005 he became a member of the Executive Committee and Chief Operating Officer responsible of the Onshore Geotechnical business line. He was appointed by the Annual General Meeting to the Board of Management in 2006 and reappointed in 2010. At present he is Chief Operating Officer of Information Services business line. He will become Chairman of the Board of Management as of 1 January 2012.
    Before joining Fugro, Mr. Steenbakker gained international management experience during his career with Fluor Corporation in the oil and gas division since 1983. In his last position with Fluor as senior vice president he was responsible for the oil and gas division in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and for the development of the strategy and the implementation of Fluor’s international maintenance services.
    
    Mr. P. van Riel (55) is the co-founder of Fugro-Jason B.V., which he established in 1986. Jason B.V. was acquired by Fugro in 2001. In March 2004 he became a member of the Executive Committee and was as Chief Operating Officer responsible for the Development & Production activities of the Geoscience Division. He was appointed by the Annual General Meeting to the Board of Management in 2006 and reappointed in 2010. At present he is Chief Operating Officer of the Onshore Geotechnical business line. He will become Vice-chairman of the Board of Management as of 1 January 2012, responsible for technology and innovation and as Director of the Geoscience Division.
    
    Mr. W.S. Rainey (56) joined Fugro in 1981. He is the President of Fugro, Inc. in the United States and has been Chief Operating Officer of the Offshore Geotechnical Services business line since 2006. As a member of the Board of Management he will be Director of the Geotechnical Division as of 1 January 2012.
    
    Mr. J. Rüegg (66) joined Fugro in 1994. He has managed the Offshore Survey activities since 1999 and has made a large contribution to Fugro’s Survey division’s growth over the years. In 2009 he was appointed to the Board of Management as Chief Operating Officer of the Offshore Survey business line. As a member of the Board of Management he will be Director of the Survey Division as of 1 January 2012.
    
    Mr. A. Jonkman (57) joined Fugro in 1988. In 2004 he was appointed by the Annual General Meeting to the Board of Management as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2004. He was reappointed by the Annual General Meeting in 2008.
