    De AEX houdt zich beter dan de DOW.

    Wors zit aan de houtkachel met een biertje i.p.v. op de wc. En straks zuurkool met worst.

    Ouwe is ouwerwets gezellig vandaag.
    Verdraaid, Deo is er niet. :) LOL.

    NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks wavered on Wednesday as Europe worked to rein in Ireland's financial troubles and tamer-than-expected inflation news bolstered the Federal Reserve's case for its Treasury-buying plan.
    "It will embolden the Fed," said Jack Ablin, chief investment officer at Harris Bank, after news of the 0.2% October increase in the consumer-price index, which was lower than expected. Core inflation, which exclude food and energy costs, climbed 0.6% from October 2009, the smallest rise on record.
    "A weaker-than-expected CPI strengthens Chairman Bernanke's case for quantitative easing," Ablin said.
    The Standard & Poor's 500 Index (SPX) gained 2.37 points to 1,180.71. But the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) fell 12.48 points to 11,011.02, with 18 of its 30 components falling.
    The Nasdaq Composite (RIXF) added 11.32 points to 2,481.15.
    A separate report had housing starts in October falling to their lowest in one-and-a-half years.
    "In a perverse way, it's good news, as we don't want more supply and it will stabilize housing prices," said Ablin.
    For every stock rising nearly two fell on the New York Stock Exchange, where 275 million shares traded as of 11 a.m. Eastern.
    In Brussels, European Union officials worked to come up with a plan to keep Ireland's debt woes from spreading to Spain and Portugal.
