Rumours are causing concern among contractorsPublished: 12:28 pmThe circulating rumors that some suppliers to Saab Automobile has been paid more than others. This can result in restless and impatient subcontractors now reviewing the possibility of requesting Saab bankrupt.- It is so that there are many reports in the media that Saab will pay some providers but not others. It creates a very big concern, so I think we will see that many more providers will attempt to exploit the opportunity to ask the Saab into bankruptcy, says Lars Holmqvist, CEO of European sub-organization CLEPA, the P4 West.
The information that has been in the media recently include that vehicle component manufacturer IAC should have been paid more than others and in addition, the company Swepart quickly withdrew its petition against the Saab subsidiary Saab Tools - after the parties agreed.
Lars Holmqvist argues that it is not surprising that contractors are now looking at the possibility of requesting Saab bankrupt.
- If you think that anyone, of all the 100's of suppliers get paid when others do not get it so it pretty easy to conclude that if I did not ask the Saab out of business, I get no money, says Lars Holmqvist.
Even Sven Ake Berglie, who is president of Automotive Suppliers, says that he gets more calls from Swedish companies that want to review the possibility of filing a bankruptcy petition or submit the debt to the bailiff.
According to both Lars Holmqvist and Sven-Ake Berglie is the basic problem of Saab's lack of communication.
- It is not acceptable . I think it makes things worse, instead of information, rumor and speculation, it would be better if you informed on how things are.
P4 The West has sought to Saab's communications department for a comment, without success.
