    Letter from the CEO of Imtech
    Dear client,
    We fully understand that questions will have arisen concerning the recent news flow about Imtech and its operations in Poland. We have taken decisive measures in Poland because of the unforeseen situation. As stated in the media, Imtech has been severely harmed through a lack of financing of its largest customer in Poland and possible irregularities in respect of Imtech projects in Poland.
    In Poland we have taken prompt action by starting an investigation into the circumstances under which the projects concerned were accepted and executed. The local Polish management has been suspended. As you may have seen, the CEO and CFO of Imtech Germany have stepped down as a result of the situation in Poland. Both Directors had direct managerial responsibility for the Polish activities. In both countries, we have secured the continuity of the business by appointing new (interim) leadership.
    Concerning the daily operations by our 29,000 employees, we would like to emphasize that these will continue like before. We have indeed taken a write-off of at least 100 million euro related to 4 projects in Poland, but there is sufficient headroom in our existing bank facilities for our normal course of business.
    As we announced on Monday February 4, our 2012 EBITA (operational result) before the write-off on the Polish projects and the reorganisation expense as announced in October 2012, was higher than the EBITA in 2011. The order book has grown to around 6.4 billion euro.
    We would like to emphasize that despite the situation in Poland, Imtech is still the company as you know it. You can count on our capable technicians and IT specialists who are renowned in the market for their expertise, globally. We are a trustworthy partner that honors its contracts. As Management Board of the company we are proud of our employees and highly value all of our 24,000 customers and partners with whom we plan and execute important and innovative projects.

    niets wijst op een emissie.
    Een emissie is ook nooit ter sprake gekomen. Op maandag werd door Imtech al aangeven dat er genoeg liquide middelen in huis zijn. Die emissie is via het geruchtencircuit naar buiten gekomen.

    Als ik de brief goed lees heeft Imtech over een o zn minst een 100 mio afschrijving, daar we de afgelopen dagen uitgingen van op zn minst 200 mio. Positief of is het maar om het even?
