NH3: is cleaner burning than hydrogen, has storage costs an order of magnitude lower than hydrogen, has 30% more hydrogen storage capacity than liquid hydrogen per liter, requires less energy to produce than 10 kpsi hydrogen (when starting with 100 psi hydrogen), is more efficient than hydrogen when used in optimally designed engines, can be made from any primary energy source, is an ideal fuel for solid oxide and direct NH3 fuel cells, and has an extensive world wide storage and delivery system already in place.
Mass energy density and charging time/charging infrastructure issues will forever relegate EV's to commuter- only applications.
