    TomTom levert software voor 'slimme' armband

    AMSTERDAM (AFN) - TomTom gaat locatiesoftware leveren voor een 'slimme' armband die techgigant Intel en modebedrijf Opening Ceremony hebben ontworpen. Dat maakte de navigatiedienstverlener woensdag bekend zonder financiële details te vermelden.

    TomTom timmert al een tijdje aan de weg met nieuwe producten, nu de navigatiekastjes waar het Amsterdamse bedrijf groot mee is geworden steeds minder opleveren. Zelf maakt het bijvoorbeeld al sporthorloges. Daarnaast verkoopt het licenties voor het gebruik van zijn software voor plaatsbepaling en navigatie aan andere technologiebedrijven.
