    Die R/S lijkt wel onvermijdelijk, ja. Verder klets je maar wat.

    En uit de Gevo-Raj PR:
    Praj will also contribute process engineering and equipment services to expand isobutanol capacity at Gevo's plant in Luverne, Minnesota, as well as to improve yields and optimize energy consumption at the facility.

    Die hulp en hardware komt dus free-of-charge van Praj. De beruchte Luverne Burn wordt steeds verder geblust, terwijl de revenue oploopt.

    Daarbij: Luverne is geen winst-machine maar een demo plant.

    Maar ik krijg pas gelijk (of niet) na de Q1 cijfers. In elk geval is de trend bij Gevo positief.

    In Q4-14 is nog geen levering aan Brenntag geweest. In Q1-15 wel.

    Het meest interessante aan deze call is niet de cijfermatige kant. Het is de review van de patent-zaken door Brett Lund. En zo vaak komt hij niet naar buiten met zijn werk. Gevo staat heel sterk. Hij heeft gezegd:

    Based on the Supreme Court decision, we believe that this means we will prevail at the Federal Circuit Court and this will end the phase of the litigation.

    (ik geloof dat hier 'end this phase' gezegd is, maar deze fase waar het over gaat is wel de grootste bottleneck en als Gevo inderdaad wint, dan is het Butamax-BP-DuPont verhaal gewoon klaar).

    Daarnaast de opmerking dat Gevo renewable hydrogen kan maken tegen een kilo-kostprijs van 2,5 dollar uitgaande van een ethanolprijs van 1,9 dollar.

    We just signed an MOU with Praj, Praj and Gevo see it as possible to develop 250 million gallons per year of isobutanol outside of the U.S. using sugar from cane and molasses as a feedstock, and leveraging Praj plans that have been build worldwide.

    We also anticipate potentially working with Praj here in the U.S. too but the details of what this would entail still be lined out and will be detailed for later day. Praj has lot of capabilities. They are really good at process technology, equipment manufacturer and deployment of the equipment and the processes. Our team is really looking forward to working with them.

    Gevo is een licentie-gever. Praj is een 'real world' application specialist.

    Over het algemeen zie je pas drie dagen na een CC het echte effect ervan.

    De eerste bewegingen zijn alleen de ultra korte termijn speculanten.

    Alcohol fuel additives reduce air pollution. The question is whether ethanol is the right stuff, or whether there’s another form of alcohol that can reduce exhaust emissions without the bad side effects of ethanol, like its attraction to water, its tendency to make engines run lean, and its low energy content. Isobutanol, which can be derived from the same feedstocks (plant materials) as ethanol, is reportedly better on all three counts.

    But 10 years of burning "E10" (10% ethanol, 90% gasoline) in our boats, we've suffered through rough running, clogged fuel filters, poor fuel mileage, damaged fuel lines, leaking tanks (including some brand-new "ethanol-resistant" models), and catastrophic engine failures, with higher food prices as an added insult. As a fuel additive, ethanol offers only 65% of the energy content of gasoline, it attracts and readily mixes with water (a good attribute in whiskey but not in boat fuel), it corrodes metals, and it is has high vapor pressure, which actually helps fuel sitting in tanks evaporate and damage air quality. What's to like here? Not much!
