    Werd in voorlaatste IEX magazine getipt als een van de grootste kanshebbers voor komend jaar en tevens als overnamekandidaat.
    Hou het fonds al enige tijd bij alleen kon er in het forum nog niets over vinden. Gezien lage koers nu dit bericht voor de liefhebber die iets anders maar toch wel Bio Pharma zoekt.

    Amgen files suit against Ariad
    Monday April 24, 2:36 pm ET

    Amgen Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Ariad Pharmaceuticals in a pre-emptive strike against a possible patent-infringment suit, according to media reports.
    In the action, Amgen is seeking to nullify Ariad's patent '516 in order to protect its Enbrel arthritis drug, which is one of Amgen's most lucrative drugs.

    In the suit, Amgen says the claims contained in the patent are invalid, that Amgen does not infringe the patent, and that it should not have to pay royalties to Ariad.

    Ariad has not filed any kind of legal action against Amgen, although Amgen is anticipating a suit.

    "We anticipated legal action, whether they brought it or we brought it, so we took the action first," David Polk, a spokesman for Amgen, told Reuters.

    In 2005, Enbrel accounted for $2.5 billion in sales for Thousand Oaks' Amgen (NASDAQ: AMGN - News), a global biotechnology company that discovers, develops, makes and markets important human therapeutics based on advances in cellular and molecular biology. It employs close to 13,000.

    bertvv ik reageer maar even. Alleen met jezelf een discussie gaande houden is ook nogal vermoeiend lijkt me.
    Ik kon het niet laten en heb er toch maar wat gekocht op bijna het dieptepunt van het jaar vandaag na de downgrade van ..... Ziet er allemaal redelijk hoopgevend uit. we zullen zien.

    Bedankt voor het reageren. Anders was het inderdaad einde verhaal. Je hoopt ook op tegenwind of een andere kijk op je idee.
    Naar mijn mening moet het fonds wel weer komen.
    Sloot op 5.44.
    Ga er vanuit dat deze steun houdt.

    Eli Lilly hit with $65M damages
    Federal jury rules in favor of Ariad, but impact on big drugmaker seen as 'negligible.'

    NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - A federal jury ruled that Eli Lilly & Co. infringed the patent of Ariad Pharmaceuticals with its drugs Evista and Xigris, and ordered the drugmaker to pay the Massachusetts biotech firm $65.2 million, the companies said.

    In U.S. District Court in Boston, the jury ruled unanimously that Lilly infringed a patent that covers methods of treating disease by regulating cell activity with two of its drugs. Ariad licensed the patent from the co-plaintiffs, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research, and the Fellows of Harvard College.

    Koers was afgelopen week opgelopen tot 7.70.
    Is inmiddels weer terug naar even boven de $ 6.
    Zojuist weer aangeschaft.
    Misschien iets te vroeg maar zie wel.
