    Op 15 januari gaat dit aandeel los na een voorstelling in Las Vegas.

    MVIS is expected to demo their Pico Projector/ Integrated Photonics Module at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Easy $6+ by end of Jan 07 if they hit projected size/cost/power targets. Much greater long term growth from $6 range over next few years if they get their IPM in a high volume consumer device. MVIS will be in serious trouble if they come up short of projections as they do not have much surplus cash, and if there is not a clear, near term path to a commercial product, financing will be increaingly tough to find. The company needs to break it's long and undistinguished track record of missing expectations built up under former CEO. I think they will suceed, but Jan 07 is first real put up or shut up time for new CEO.

    Microvision: Laser-Based Cellular Projector Has Serious Potential (2 Ratings) 2-Jan-07 06:11 pm Shlomi Cohen submits: Since I added Microvision Inc. (MVIS) to my portfolio at the beginning of the year, the stock has taken a tumble, hitting the troubling low of $1.16 at the end of August.

    By last Friday, it had climbed back above $3. I did not load up on shares, since Microvision is a small company that was on the verge of bankruptcy. It surged 10% on massive volume on Friday, after it received coverage and a “Buy” rating for the first time since the analysts abandoned it in droves several years ago. A small investment house by the name of MDB Capital Group gave it a target price of $6.

    Microvision will probably be attending the 2007 International CES conference in Las Vegas next month, where it will unveil a special laser-based projector that will be embedded in 3G cellular handsets. This will enable laptop-sized full color projection displays for applications such as streaming video and digital TV. According to the analysts, if the company can develop this application into a functional working commercial product, it will amount to a monumental revolution that could be a phenomenal success, since the company is already fielding inquiries from leading cellular handset manufacturers.

    lijkt open tv wel... maar idd als het aanslaat en ze hebben voldoende kennis om het verder te ontwikkelen, komt het wel goed! enigste minpunt is dat ze al reeds binnen 3 maanden verdubbeld zijn!

    Volgens mij is dat juist goed. Huidige koers laat nog zien dat men twijfelt of ze het gaat lukken om een produkt op tafel te zetten.
    Ik verwacht een koers van rond de 10$ eind van het jaar.
