Suppliers are tired of SaabPublished: Friday 16 September at 15:26Saab's poor economy has created many problems. Now, several subcontractors are tired considerably in the Saab.- There are several pieces that say never in life. They feel cheated and do not trust that they will get paid, says Lars Holmqvist, CEO of the European Association for subcontractors, CLEPA.
But he believes that there still is opportunity for Saab to launch the plant if there is a reorganization and the go-ahead for the Chinese partner who injects money.
- There will always be a peer pressure in such situations. If the majority says yes, they can last give way so as not to destroy the other, says Lars Holmqvist, CEO of the European Association for subcontractors, CLEPA.
But it will probably be some time before production can begin.
- It will take three or four months, says Lars Holmqvist.
A bankruptcy does not favor the suppliers he points out.
- When will a bankruptcy trustee in and scrape it all together and it does not get much of the suppliers. There is probably not a single thing on Saab is not mortgaged, says Lars Holmqvist.
